respect is required by the student to the professor. But that respect does not require the reverse. And that is a great lack of respect for the entire educational system to children. Children usually are forced to go where they want to go, to be there as they do not want to be, listening to boring and suppress the lethargy, to memorize what they are not interested, a good idea to use your brain. Yet teachers now complain that the child has more rights than the teacher. They feel overwhelmed, the poor little boys pretending to be adults, pretending to be more mature beings who are called to "be." Instead of being aware of the abuse that is, in itself, situation of children, complain about their loss of power. Rather than start by apologizing for being accomplices of the child and not the system, ask whining that is tied to short to not disturb students. As if the respect was something you could buy at the supermarket, or something that would be funded and that the "minor" had the obligation to feel. I do not miss the growing rebellion in the classroom. And I feel healthy for those who rebel.
